The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program was developed by FEMA to educate volunteers about disaster preparedness and hazards that may impact their area and train participants in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organiation, and disaster medical operations. We are offering this 3-day (24 hour) FEMA developed course of instructin to the Lamar County Community at large. Joining CERT is not a rquirement to participate in this training conducted by certified instructors. Note: There are three days of classes that must be attended to gain credit for the course.
