Event Description:
Stop by the Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site on Saturday, December 13 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. to participate in “Christmas at the Maxey House.”  Visitors will step into a Victorian family’s home in the midst of celebrating Christmas.  Come learn about past Christmas traditions from the late 1800s and see how today’s Christmas is both different and similar to a Victorian family’s Christmas.  During the program, visitors will have numerous opportunities to participate in traditional Victorian Christmas crafts as they explore the historic house.  A special guest will be in the library, ready for pictures, so be sure to bring your cameras
