Docent Training at the Maxey House

Have you ever wanted to be a docent and give tours at the Sam Bell Maxey House? Now is your chance! Join us for a docent training on April 11 and April 12. This is a two day event, starting at 9 a.m. and going until 4 p.m. on both days.

We are requesting that you RSVP for this training, as we need to make copies of materials. To RSVP or ask any questions about the training, please call the site at 903.785.5716 or email Amanda Reed before 5 p.m. on Friday, April 10th.

Once you are trained to be a docent at the Maxey House, you will be able to give tours for educational groups, scheduled group tours, and any drop-in tours that occur during normal operating hours.
