Parlor Chat Series at the Maxey House

Join us for our brand new parlor chat series! There will be a new topic every other month, each topic following this year’s theme of “Love and Marriage.”

Parlor chats should last around 45 minutes. We will meet in the parlor of the Maxey House at 3 p.m. on the 3rd Sunday of the month (unless otherwise noted).

The November 16th chat will cover Victorian wedding traditions. Let's just say that even without Pinterest and today's glossy magazines, Victorian brides weren't lacking for wedding advice and suggestions.
