Caddo Museum & Cultural Center is pleased to announce that it is hosting the Texas Lakes Trail traveling exhibit on the historic Chisholm Trail. The Texas Historical Commission and Texas Lakes Trail Region have recently celebrated the 150th anniversary of this fabled trail which took millions of longhorns north to railroads in Kansas. The money from the sale of the longhorns brought Texas out of the financial disaster following the Civil War. The exhibit is composed of 34 panels and is complementary to the excellent Texas Historic Commission brochure on the Chisholm Trail. It will be on display Friday, May 3rd through June 15th, 2019.
