Arrive early to have time to park and find your spot before the ceremony begins at the outdoor chapel. You will want to be settled when you hear the call: "Pease rise for the Presentation of Colors and National Anthem" . From this first moment , the atmosphere is meant to be reverent, reflective, and respectful. During the ceremony, you will witness the presentation of the service wreaths for the Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Air Force, and Space Force, with additional wreaths recognizing the Merchant Marines and POW/MIA service members. You will hear the hauntingly beautiful live performance of "Taps," followed by "Echo Taps," for which two buglers stand apart and play the notes in overlapping sequence, creating a moving echo that fills the cemetery with gratitude and remembrance. The wreaths will remain through January 10th, serving as a visible reminder of honor during the holiday season. If you would like to be part of this mission, you can sponsor a wreath by visiting www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/TX1559P. you also have the option to purchase a grave-specific wreath, allowing family members to place a wreath directly at their loved one's grave during the event.
